Come on it could be badass, Rarity using the Elfstones, Rainbow Dash using the Sword of Leah, Applejack, the element of Honesty, wielding The Sword Of Shannara, a blade that holds the power of complete and utter Truth. Oh, and if Twilight learns some Druidic magic...holy damn!

As much as I'd like to take part in the RPG, I'm not sure my schedule would accommodate since I'm at work from 8 am until about 4:30 pm EST and my weekends are usually full because of several RL campaigns I'm in.

Most likely, I would imagine that would be a legitimate method of attack. Heck I just realized how ponies can sword fight: they wear helmets mounted with swords.

When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
Unicorns of course, would wield swords via levitation.
@ Ginger, Could see it happening, though I don't think it would be there first choice of attack, just cause it has to be hard to aim right like that, and put your head in a very bad position with little ability to recover if something goes wrong, But still a valid tactic if you get a good opening.
And yeah I see there primary means of attack either being hoof mounted baldes, or weather powers.
