I've gotten nailed by a couple hurricanes out here, although I personally haven't ever suffered too bad.

My grandparents live in Kansas and they've had close calls with tornadoes.

yeah, Twi has the intellect, While AJ has the common sense, and they each balance out each others weak points.

ehhh. think it would work better with Twi in charge and AJ advising her. AJ would be much more confortable just helping then being the one in charge.

I would say Twilight or Applejack as well. I think Twilight a little bit better as a queen since she's more of a "high-class" pony already (not a snob, but definitely used to palace life). While Applejack will always be a country girl at heart.

Rarity would be the best Queen so long as Royals Who Actually Do Something isn't in effect. She'd be great at living the life, and looking the part, not so good at ruling. Though she would try, she just isn't suited for it, to impulsive, to high strung, and to easily led astray.
