Although I'm not sure how he managed to get away with the Single-Biome Planet and still be taken seriously in regard to creating ecosystems.

Well it's not quite single biome, since there's life near the poles. It's been ages since I read the first book, so I don't remember the details.

Human in Equestria? I don't touch that shit with a ten foot pole unless it meets very STRICT standards.

Wow. Someone thought of me. I'm touched. ^^

What are you talking about? And as far as I know, there's not a tornado watch in the area. Austin is a fair distance away from Dallas.

@Sixthhokage1: Hope you're okay. Apparently, this weekend, my hometown was hit by a small torado. I thought that that did't happen! The last one remotely near there was about thirty years ago!

Oh, I aslo forgot to mention that this weekend I moved into town so that I can walk to work. Yay! No more ridiculous commute from the middle of nowhere!

[up] Yeah, I love how I live on campus. Then I can just walk to class. On-campus housing is so expensive though... tonguetongue

@ stevebat: Don't worry, it's not what you're thinking. It is seriously the best First Contact story I've ever read. I just wish that the author had more time to write. It's usually months between his updates.

Tornados. I kind of want to see one someday. I'd probably do something stupid if I lived in tornado country and there was a warning.

[up] Whoah, it's really that big?

I'm pretty sure Texas isn't that big. It's certainly bigger than any single country in Europe sans Russia, though.

Could you guys just freakin' type these things out? It's not that hard to do.

Diaper over hair bow? That's just silly-wrong.

Yeah, only Alaska is a larger state. And I've never experienced tornadoes (although I've experienced tornado warnings for the area). But I did live through a hurricane. That was fun
