That is a good point about Cheerilee... This thing went big. She must have been really busy marking papers. Teaching can be a tough job sometimes.

My main issue with the resolution is that the town went from basically exiling the CMC to "oh, everything's fine" solely due to the printed apology, which I though was a bit too much of a rapid turnaround.

Although I should make the caveat that I only saw about 60% of the episode due to lag, so I might be missing something. It wouldn't be the first time my opinion of an episode changed after rewatching it.

A neat thing here is that by resorting to blackmail, DT is getting really close to crossing from simple antagonist straight into villain. Filly has issues.

Ponies are very forgiving so long as you own up to what you did wrong.

I also admit that I had really hoped that the CMC would post the embarrassing pictures of themselves along with a picture of DT blackmailing them. It would have been a lot more poetic justice rather than "lol DT gets covered in ink". Which was totally satisfying to see, but I feel like she should have gotten a taste of her own medicine or something.

@Bluespade: The thing is that it doesn't really fit with how seriously everyone was treating them immediately before the apology; the CMC were basically outcasts. If the town had just been angry at them, yeah, but when it get to the points that the streets empty every time they come down the street it should take a bit more to get back in their good graces.

I guess it sort of takes rocks to come out and admit that you were wrong in a public venue. One way or another, ponyville can respect that.

I don't think it's at all weird they forgave them, seems perfectly normal for ponies to forgive ANYPONY that is truly sorry about what they did.

I'm guessing Celestia went to visit the Cakes or something for tax reasons or whatever... But I like how that works with My Little Alicorn, Celestia has a deep love of cakes in that fanfic...

In regards to the Easily Forgiven thing, bear in mind that the CMC only continued because everypony was eating up the columns until they personally got featured. So there's a little bit of shared responsibility there.

Spike got his own article as well. Pity DT didn't want to publish it.

I think they just knew about Trixie from Twilight. The Mane 6 already found out Trixie was a fraud, all the kids had to do was publish it.

Maybe I missed something, but it just sounded like they were trying to reveal her tricks, like the balls and cups which no one has ever figured out before.
