@old portable game consoles - any breed of Gameboy should be amazing durable. Nintendo is practically known for building stuff that can withstand the apocalypse. I've heard the Game Gear usually has capacitors that need to be replaced, but Sega's systems weren't slouches in durability either.

The more difficult it is to run in the costume the more donations you tend to get for the charity of your choice.

For example, one man ran a marathon in armour tugging a small wagon of stuff. It took him forever but it got a lot of money for charity.

Funny, I don't know if I still have my Game Boy Color (my little turquoise buddy... I do have my Advance though), but I'm sure I still have my Game Gear. Still has Robocop vs. the Terminator in it too!

All it needs is 6 AA batteries.

Its more for the fun of it than anything else, at least for my collage. You do get extra donations, but that's just a bonus. Not all costumes are difficult to run in anyway, some people desired to bring signs with pictures of food to motivate people.

Oh most definitely. I honestly felt sorry for the people in the caterpillar costume. (it was multiple people in one costume!)

It's been awhile since I owned one (I was forced to sell mine) so you may want to do some research before trying this, but IIRC, Game Gears could actually use the same AC Adapters as certain Genesis models. If you got a Genesis (and I'm not full of crap) you're all set.

Well, their DC in socket can take most 9-volt input, so a decent DC adaptor with the right head would do the trick :D

It's nice that a lot of good old 80s cartoons are getting revivals :D What's next, Rainbow Brite?

Cookoo: Haha, yea, that must have been ridiculous for them. Hopefully they had fun doing it, though.

Demon: I still have my Advance, as well (skipped the Color and Pocket, though). I got a ton of mileage out of it between the original FF:CC (even though that was technically some crazy amalgamation of Gamecube and Gameboy) and the Fire Emblems.

I still have my purple GBA and several DS systems :D I got extra so I could trade between my Pokemon cartridges in Gen 4.

It'd be fun to make a Pony Party game in the vein of Mario Party :D Instead of Bowser we'd have Discord messing with the board.
