Yeah, my guess is that RD just overestimated how much wingpower the collective group could output.
@Mio: I'm talking about the scene in the beginning when RD states they can hit 1000 wingpower. Not to mention that Twilight is probably working off of figures RD gave her, so if there's an issue with those all other calculations will be off.

@Ginger: I'm sure most pegasi would learn midflight hoof signalling, it's something like drivers using hand signs. Also we were outside the vortex and wouldn't have heard her because wind blockage can cause noise isolation.
