AWWWWW!!!! I could completely identify with Fluttershy's problem with her fear of being laughed at, because hearing mocking laughter aimed at me too many times to count in high school and junior high is pretty much why hearing laughter (especially when it's a group laughing) often makes me cringe and want to plug my ears, even if I know it has nothing to do with me (luckily, most of the laughter on My Little Pony doesn't bother me, aside from the dragons laughing at Spike in Dragon Quest, which I had to mute). That and I've always had issues with certain startling noises bothering me, such as the buzzer in a basketball game (although, oddly enough, fireworks don't bother me anymore although they used to). While I don't think I was ever actually required to live up to a big physical requirement like in this episode, because of my Dandy-Walker issues (which caused motor skill delays when I was younger), I still highly identify with Fluttershy's problem of being so much weaker at flying than the others. I gave my little Fluttershy doll a big hug after that episode ended! And I really liked the moral in this one, and as the icing on the cake, there was a lot of Derpy and Rainbow Dash was showing her nicer side and wasn't too much of a Drill Sergeant Nasty.

At first I didn't quite realize why the animals' faces looked weird, and then I realized they were wearing pony face masks because part of the training was helping Fluttershy with not only her flying, but with flying when there are ponies watching her.

Spitfire was observing to see if RD is worthy of joining the Spectres, I mean, Wonderbolts

I almost forgot the Wonderbolts existed this season, to be honest.

The only other thing they've done this season was get owned by Spikezilla.

Actually, you know, considering Rainbow Dash was spearheading the operation from training to execution, probably nets her a good handful of brownie points for when she signs up to join the Wonderbolts. She just showed that not only can she be a team player, she can be an effective leader.

Rainbow is the leader of the Weather Team and outside of one incident that's been pretty stable.

She's also the most competent Team Leader in Winter Wrap Up.

And to top it all off she's a national hero.

I like how you suggesting that Wonderbolts are more than just sport team.
