Inglorious Basterds is pretty good. The villain is like a Nazi Sherlok Holmes. He's awesome.

And Pinkie is the only member of the mane cast I have a hard time imagining as a guy

Cupcakes is just some stupid gorefic. The only reason it has any attention is because it was the first one that people noticed. There are tons of dumb fics just like it.

Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are pretty good; haven't seen any of his other movies.

As far as the story/meaning thing goes, I don't see anything wrong with a work just being entertaining. I wouldn't like it if all works were like that, but in this case variety is good. No work should sacrifice story just for the sake of meaning. You can sacrifice meaning for the sake of a good story, though.

I didn't think Pulp Fiction was anywhere NEAR as good as everyone makes it out to be.

The Bruce Willis parts (with the exception of his finale) bored me to tears, as did the stuf with Travolta in the 50's club
