I'm still going with the bitter friend of shinning armor who is in love with Candence also, but unable tell her cause' he wants to her happy with his friend, and yet is still feeling conflicted. The final straw would be Shinning Armor letting his friend be the best man. The envy would warp him into a Nightmare moon figure.

The sloth is a wise sage that Twilight is forced to go to in the next adventure plot. Or Rainbow Dash. Probably Dash. The lesson is about... eh... it was about... This is an adventure, right? Not one of those... slice of something. Life. Episodes. Yes. Adventure. Who was it again? Ah, right, Rainbow Dash. Yes. And she learned a lesson about... um. Hold on. Ah yes! Patience! She learned a lesson about patie - where did she go? I had a lesson to teach her... also to warn her about the monster in the cave... oh dear.
