A lot of the problem here is that a lot of people still see the CMC as side characters, when it's pretty clear by this point that they aren't anymore. They're being written as main characters so I consider them to be main characters. When I look at it from that perspective they don't really seem overexposed to me.

If that's the case then Scootaloo DESPERATELY needs more exposure!

Not yet, and we're already a day late.

@Storyyeller: Like I said, it came down to those two, and between them I preferred Hearts and Hooves Day for some reason. Mostly because Cheerilee.

I actually really like the CMC although I have to admit that they sure get a lot of screen time for side characters. Which is why I don't consider them to be side characters at this point to begin with. Actually, I think Fluttershy gets less screen time than they do XD

I'm not sure which episode I would cut either, although Cutie Pox was really awesome. And Hearts and Hooves Day was very amusing because of the memes that came from it and the different ways you can play around with it.

@ Ginger: I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next CMC episode revolves around Scootaloo.

I think the reason I didn't care for Hearts and Hooves Day (at all) was because it actually did focus on two side characters that I didn't care about.

Mostly because Cheerilee.

More Cheerilee is always a good thing.

On closer inspection, it appears that part of the problem is that there was a recent increase in activity in that thread. After all, we did reach 125k on the day I predicted, March 14th. It's possible that the reason we haven't caught up yet is that they're posting faster than I expected.

Personally, I liked Hearts and Hooves quite a bit and I have no problem with the CMC. The only thing that really kind of got me was Sweetie interrupting the eulogy. She lost points with me for that one.

How exactly can we sabotage them? Posting there will just make it worse.

Also, how the heck is Fire Bug a bluelink?

@Ginger: It's not that I didn't like Cheerilee, I just don't really have the attachment to side characters that other people seem to have (this is true in most franchises I follow).

Is this post count thing a competition now?

I think Cherliee would be more likeable if she weren't insane for half the episode.

It's been this way since last fall. The first time I remember someone comparing postcounts, we were only 20k posts long, and it took us forever even to catch up with Mass Effect 3.

Ginger, you already post more than anyone. Even if this was a competition you would have nothing to feel guilty about.
