If we're talking potions as just healing items then pharmacology should work.

Chemistry.

Pharmacology is probably the best term there; the original Greek word is actually related to the word for "sorcery", so it fits potionmaking pretty well.

True, but it is basically potions with math and science instead of magic.

Oh well, probably Alchermy though I can't ever associate Alchemy as potions and medicine thanks to FMA.

What's wrong with the term alchemy?

From The Other Wiki:

Alchemists developed a framework of theory, terminology, experimental process and basic laboratory techniques that is still recognizable today. Personally, I associate it more with trying to turn elements into other ones...

Alchemy has strong magical connotations. If you're trying to make a scientific name for something, it's not the route I'd go down.

Alchemy is one of those terms that can end up having almost completely different meanings in different fantasy settings. In classical mythology, Alchemy was the practice of turning various metals into gold. This "transmutation" is what is extrapolated into the "alchemy" used in Fullmetal Alchemist. It also ends up being a catch-all term for potion-making thanks to its strong relation to real life chemistry. In fact, a lot of breakthroughs in early chemistry came from attempting to study alchemy. The only thing that remains constant with fantasy alchemy is its strong blending of magic and science.

This pony would be able to create potions and exliers, and new materials (like the repulsion gel). So what would they be?

@Ginger, it's basically me trying to get a handle on my final Discord design so i did him as a statue, or so we're meant to beleive. He's basically hanging out admiring his own statue, making fun I how "easy" his defeat is.

And... I had this idea about the wedding two parter where near the end of part one where everything is starting to go to hell and then at the end suddenly Discord. Then at the beginning of part two he laughs at how panicked they looked and is basically there because he likes weddings and basically causes funny backgrounds events until the end of the episode while the main plot is being solved.
