@Mousa: He is still ultimately a side character. When it comes to who gets included in an episode he is more likely to be excluded than one of the Mane Six, simply because of his position on the character hierarchy.
I suppose, though for some reason I get the feeling that's how he sees Celestia. Sure alTwilight hatched him but she was far too young to have raised him into childhood.
