You've found plenty of friends here Ginger. It's just that every time someone has a different opinion you take it as a personal affront. No one cares if you have a different opinion than us, and it doesn't happen as often as you seem to like to think. Look, we've been actively trying to make you feel better about this, but you seem to obstinately refuse to cool off to any degree, and every time one of us tries you get defensive and claim we don't 'get' you. Which may well be true, but come on! We're trying to be nice here, and you're slapping us away!

You guys know Through the Eyes of Another Pony? Someone is planning, with aid from voice actors, to make an animation for the whole thing. You can learn a bit about it here. This really interests me as it should be good if the animator pulls it off right.

So it'll be a few hours until I can see the new episode, but how are the general opinions of it?

re: Twilight's Power Level

I think what we really need is someone to display magic that is at least relatively on scale with Twilight's, so far all the Unicorns that have been on the show have only used their powers for telekinesis and other lesser magics, no one has displayed a spell even close to one Twilight has cast.

Rarity has shown impressive skills. The fact is, Twi only seems powerful because other unicorns tend not to show up much.

Pretty much in the exact same way no one has ever matched RD in flying, or Fluttershy in animal compassion or...

I WANT to be proven wrong when it comes to stuff like this. I can't plow through negativity by myself, my mind works too hard at being cynical.

most of the time, it works wonderfully (talks about AJ for example), but othertimes, I find that I HAVE no reason for being annoyed by something. I can't stand not knowing the reasons for something

I found it fun that Twilight could just learn the one spell that's pretty much Rarity's special talent like it was nothing. I mean Rarity only ever found small stashes when Twilight could use it for the entire freaking cavern, hehehe.

What Twilight really needs is a case of Always Someone Better that is not a Goddess or a Alicorn.

L Mage: Except none of them ever broke the sound barrier. And once again, Fluttershy. And Rarity's talent is making dresses. Which was enough to make her noticed by high level people. Twi can't do that.
