I think Twilight will be the smart one here. She's the Watson character, so this appears to be a reversal of the stereotypical portrayal of Sherlock and Watson as the brains and the bumbling idiot respectively.

I wanted to write an ASOIAF/Pony crossover at one point. I'd originally intended each of the Elements to be one of the Great Houses. Of course there are seven houses and only six elements.
