I suggest replacing the last two episodes with End Of Evangelion. .

That comes absolutely no surprise to me.

Eva has the weird distinction of being so overrated that it kind of becomes underated after all of the backlash.

Yes. I did like it. In fact I still do. Though I realize why a lot of people don't like, sometimes I think the criticism is a little overblown.

I particularly enjoyed Evangelion when I was a teen. I don't care for it nearly as much now, but I recognise that a lot of the mecha anime that followed was heavily influenced by it for better or for worse, and it was in some ways groundbreaking.

@CDWR: can they legally sell FOE for money?

Though I realize why a lot of people don't like, though sometimes I think the criticism is a little overblown.

There is plenty of valid criticism to be had, but I still think its a great work.

@Ginger: Eva is a series I have absolutely no qualms in saying isn't for everyone.

Probably not. They're selling it at cost (no profit), but it's still a grey area.

How did they make a hardback for FOE? Hasbro won't stand for it will they? Especially if they follow Games Workshops policy of fiercely guarding their IP.

@Ginger That doesn't work for me. This is because while anything can be done well, anything can also be done poorly. A work is the sum of its parts, so you can't tell me that it has X, Y, and Z elements that I would like and expect me to like it because of that. I have to experience something first hand to form an opinion on it. Preconceptions are the best way to ruin a work, IMO.

If I had listened to my preconceptions, I would never have watched MLP. Or Avatar. Or Code Geass. Or Chronicle. Or read Harry Potter. I could go on and on.

You made a decision with the best information you had at the time. That's the best anyone can say. Besides, with the international shipping, it probably wouldn't be that much cheaper for you anyways.

If I HADN'T listened to my preconceptions then I wouldn't have bothered with Death Note, Code Geass, Homestuck, Fallout Equestria or ASOIAF

@Ginger: It's just bad timing. I know that it sucks, but that's no reason to get mad at other people in the thread. I really doubt that they're bringing it up just to bug you.

Also, preconceptions can go either way; it's useful as something of a filter so you don't try to watch everything, but at the same time I think people should be willing to ignore them on occasion to give something a try.
