Yeah I think I know.

If I may be honest I found the show rather annoying until the 8th episode. Also the ending was a lot less dark and convoluted then I expected.

@Questions about Osakan dialect: It is more urban, but it's got the closest connotations to Southern dialects in American English. Generic Southern dialects have been used for Osakan characters for years, which can be very jarring, really. It works for AJ, though, I would say, but really I'm just a dialect-phile, so I like hearing any Japanese dialect whenever I can. =)

I can barely tell apart American dialects, so I'm completely lost when it comes to foreign languages.

From what I just read...it seems the British eqviliant would be either a Glasgow or Northern accent (in Britain, things are upside down)...or possibly Irish.

In Britain, West Country accents seem like they are the equivalent to American deep south accents.

Well, Kansai is west of Kanto (The region containing Tokyo), so it could be called a "Western Accent" for them

(Midwestern may fit a bit better, though)

There are different accents everywhere. We're just not exposed to the differences of those in foreign countries enough to know about them
