@Purple Dalek Oh, a good protagonist is important for sure... but they're pretty much NEVER my favourite characters.
No one appreciates good villainy these days

...
Megamind?
(Recently, it's been by new favorite film.)
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
@Ginger One of my favorite tropes is
Complete Monster. I think that shows that my taste in villains is rather simplistic. Honestly, to me villains are just a plot device that our hero must overcome in order to better himself or whatever.
Megamind is Dreamworks'
Magnum Opus. I'm using that trope a lot today!

So many friends. On the moon. For me.
I haven't seen Megamind. Is it worth it?
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
@Ginger: You forgot I have appreciation for the Eggman :P

Depends. What kind of stuff are you into?
(That's probably going to be my default answer for recommendations.)
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
^^ Aaaah, don't invoke You Know Who again!

I think it shouldn't have examples. Its too subjective.

So many friends. On the moon. For me.
For me... I KNOW that the heroes will win in the end (I want them to) so I feel less inclined to feel impressed by their victories.
Villains on the other hand, are destined to fail. I like seeing how much of an influence they can exert on the world (as both an obstacle to the heroes and as something that the hero learns from) before being inevitably defeated.
Also, I'm more interested in why someone would choose to do evil than why someone chooses to do good.
Disney villains are AWESOME!!
again, that's just me, feel free to ignore...

He has

For me, Kung Fu Panda is Dreamworks' opus. That series has REALLY good, sympathetic antagonists. I basically wanted to hug Lord Shen

@Ginger. Who's your favourite villain and why do you like them so much? I'm interested in your viewpoint. (is that a word? viewpoint? eh.)

I've yet to see
KFP 2. Is it as mind blowingly awesome as the first one?

So many friends. On the moon. For me.
Prince Schneizel from
Code Geass.
An
Affably Evil Magnificent Bastard prince who acts cold because he thinks having hopes and dreams leads to greed. His intelligence is 100% VITAL to the continuation of the world.

The fights aren't as good, but I think the plot hits a lot harder... I felt sorry for Shen

So why did you decide not to read OOTS again? Too much
Genre Saviness?

Feels too obnoxiously self aware
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
Most media is self-aware nowadays. It was nice at first but I'd like some stores to be clueless again.

Reminds me of Elan's dad from Order of the Stick.
