Most likely I see is her saying something about him and one of the other Mane 6 asking "you have a brother?" Then Twilight gives us some quick exposition on why we've never heard of him before.

@ginger There haven't been many minor villains this season like Trixie or the Diamond Dogs. It's mostly been CMFIS or some other form of corruption.

@Ginger Other than Flim and Flam, I can't think of another villain. Upper Crust and Jet Setter weren't villains really, and neither was Cranky Doodle.
I'm still hoping Cerberus and/or Tartarus ends up factoring into the episode.

This show doesn't need some villain for it's finale, heck I'd like to see them do a villain-less two parter, can they still up the ante without a new baddie?

@Mousa I think it'd be nice just to see Cadence's bridezillaness/Shining getting cold hooves as the problem, but in a season full of CMFIS and the like, we're overdue for a villain.

or the drama/conflict has nothing to do with either of them and is from a third party either trying to interfere with the wedding, or taking advantage of it somehow.
