It might something as harmless as accidentally putting a future date on her old letter and misreading it and panicking because she forgot about it.

I'm actually getting more and more annoyed with Rarity and Pinkie's actions in this episode as time goes on. It reminds me of one conversation on Ponychan where it was argued that about half the Mance Cast is composed of Designated Heroes while most of the antagonist are Designated Villains. I'll be honest, they did raise some good points about it.

I don't worry about it too much. Somepony's got to make a mistake and fix it after they learn their lesson.

More I see it, more I'm sure that they were there to show OTHER contrasts to assertiveness. Yes the main moral was Aggressiveness=/=Assertiveness, but they also showed the neither does manipulation/flattery or tricks.

I guess I wouldn't be as annoyed if it weren't for the fact that they did work, just not for Fluttershy.

The first time yes, but it failed when they tried to use it on Iron Will, it was only Fluttershy being assertive and standing up to him that made him leave.

I desire more exploring of the Rarity/Pinkie dynamic. Does Rarity make use of Pinkie's randomness to fuel her creativity? Or is it a kind of exercise for her to keep up to Pinkie's energy (especially when dancing)? I'm also quite sure she made that fantastic wig for Cranky.

Why? just because Pinkie flat out said Rarity made it?

Maybe it's just that forum posts are so short sometimes, that's why I can read so fast.

Good morning friends. I am still 31 pages away from catching up and I just saw the episode and I just want to say

Rarity: Egomaniac, gold digger, ad con artist that will do anything for money or status but especially the latter.

I cannot be the only one that sees this.

And to be fair, I had no problem with her this episode, besides being a shameless con, trying to help Flutters brought out the best in both her and Pinkie. And unlike Ginger I did not take join what Fluttershy did to Rarity and Pinkie, that was just awful...

I see in Rarity a pony who has spent a good portion of her life making herself an identity of her apart from her parents, perhaps admittedly after one too many trashy Cinderella ripoffs. She struggles with her greed consistently, yet she is willing to offer a lot to help anypony who really needs that helping hoof. While she has a bit of an ego, it is justifiable in the self-confidence she has instilled in herself and the hard work she has spent inventing a version of herself different from her parents. On top of that she is immensely polite and well-mannered, something I can approve of.

OK, I haven't seen the new episode yet, though I'm about to, But first I wanted to tell you guys about the pony dream I had. I can't remember too much about it, expect Derpy was the main character, she had to save the day from something (can't remember what) and for some random reason my dream shipped her with Gilda. Apparently Derpy X Gilda was my OTP and I never knew... (WTF brain! you couldn't have picked a more random pair if you tried, could you?)

Anyway, I'm off to watch the latest episode, I'll post my thoughts on it when I'm done.

About the upcoming time travel episode. You'll see it'll just be a Stable Time Loop and the whole issue the letter talks about will have been caused by the letter itself.

No matter if it's obvious, it'll be fun to watch. :B

It seems likely but I hope they don't go that route.
