^*sigh* That doesn't even make any logical sense. Is FO:E even well-written, or is it just popular because the franchise is and 'OMG grimdark ponies how edgy' was the default reaction to grimdark when it was first published?

@ Red, it really is that good. I don't play Fallout, and I react badly to a lot of grimdark. Like most fanfics it has a few hiccups at the start with spelling and the suchlike, but it's still awesome even then, and the quality soars as it goes on.

It's really nice when the thread moves fast like this. It's also ok if it's going slowly. What I hate is when it's sort of in the middle, so constantly refreshing is a waste of time, but if you go away for a while you'll be buried under a dozen pages when you get back.

I really dont see it as grimdark. to me grimdark means that it revels in darkness, that everything must be hopeless, no victory complete, no lightat the end, just endless DARK. FO:E IS dark, but it's not ABOUT being dark, it's about how even in darkness, light can exist, and no matter how deep and heavy the darkness is, sometimes a single spark of light is all it takes to banish it.
