@Chariot: Check the tags on ponibooru, key tag is harry_potter.
By the way, the longest run of consecutive page toppers is by Applelight Limited from 4068 to 4073.

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
I remember getting three consecutive pagetoppers in a row :D
I also got two in a row once, which I totally didn't expect. I usually have something at the back of my mind to add to a pagetopper and I remember being caught off guard by that second one. >.>
Ace: Well, we have to take measures to protect and maintain our feet, so ponies would likely have to do something similar.
We do see their hoofprints look like they are traditionally shod, but it always looks like they aren't when their soles are pointed to us. Also, they consistently wear hoof shoes instead, although this is prolly more of a fashion thing.
Natural Magic Toughness? Makes sense, it probably helps them heal faster as well since it takes only days for Dashie to heal off her broken wing.
I think it's safe to assume that they have hooves like normal horses, but they are simplified by the art style. In that case heavy manual laborers probably have to have some work done to prevent hoof damage, but aside from cleaning they would probably be low maintenance if you didn't haul or carry heavy loads all the time. Horseshoes are necessary on real horses because their hooves aren't designed to carry a rider or haul cargo. At least, that's what my understanding of it is, I could be wrong.
I haven't hit the top 25 posters? Hmm, I need to post more. Shame I have nothing to contribute about 60% of the time.

The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
Non-laborers like Rarity would need to get their hooves trimmed every so often. They keep growing just like fingernails, and if they're not worn down they get too long and start causing problems.
Pegasi would probably have to do the most maintenance. Flight would probably mean they wouldn't naturally wear down their hooves very much and I can't imagine pushing around clouds would help much in that regard.
Well, I believe that ponies heal faster and have more defense because of their innate magic. To clarify, they have regenerating health, innate/constant magic shields, and cure/heal spells - all courtesy of magic. The doctors probably used a cure spell to heal the flesh damage, and some regents and other spells to mend the broken bones.
The reason why Dashie stayed in the hospital for 6 days (instead of just going out after a few hours of the healing) was because the mend bone spell was more of a basic-level one, and just
slightly repaired the bone - making it easy to fracture yet, her body could repair it via regeneration in a few days. They probably used the basic one as the more complicated and stronger spells would require much more magic power and more expensive regents.

"Always looking for a good MMORPG with infinite level-caps... Or a great community." A line said by me.
