Why wouldn't she? She's practically a one-pony stampede herself sometimes.
"Adventure" is just a fancy word for "near-death experience".

Went on a Pony binge and watched all the episodes I missed. Parents found out. Lost all crediblility. But who cares? PONIES!

I can find part 1 of "Over the Barrel" on YouTube. But where is part 2?

I WANT TO SEE SPIKE ON A PIANO GODDAMNIT!

^^Parent already knew. Told her explicitly a few days in.

Also I find it weird that there is no new episode the Friday I'm on Spring Break.

Whenever Pinkie goes into the chorus, I just can't hold back laughter.

I'm still amazed that after 21 episodes, I can't think of one I thought was outright bad. It's all varying degrees of good.

Just watched it.

I actually really liked Pinkie Pie's song. I thought it was pretty good!

And maybe it's just me, but the jokes were rather high quality this episode. Especially "Sometimes I wish I was a tree!" and "Horse drawn Horse-drawn carriages!"

Or that buffalo that charged into the pile of hay and hit an anvil.

Also, re: shipping, I just know we're gonna get a ton of Rainbow Dash/that girl buffalo fics.

The carriages thing is just such a great pun. I can't get over it.

I keep thinking that Scott McNeil voiced the Chief. It sounds just like his deep grunting voice.

[up][up][up]We're pretty much going to get Rainbow Dash/Every new character in that episode.

And probably a whole new slew of Pinkie Dash, what with all their screen time together in this one.

The horse-drawn train once again makes me think of the technological situation their world is in. I noticed that computers and television are absent, and now I notice automobiles are as well.

Now I wonder what time period Equestria is supposed to evoke.

^Funny, seeing them before they met Strongheart made me think of shipping macros.

My parents know—or at least my mother, I don't think my father pays attention—as do both my siblings, because I outright told them about a week ago.

It was an awesome moment, too, because my little sister was all ready to make fun of me for it, then I showed her my desktop background and started naming the ponies, and she was all "Rainbow Dash? Rainbow Dash was always my favorite!"

Then she proceeded to tell me about when she used to play My Little Ponies with her friends, and she would always be Rainbow while her friends would be Pinkie Pie and Rarity. It was cool.

I personally liked the "Mild West Dances" joke and the fact that the ponies have to switch between pulling the wagon. "Aww, but we just switched."

[up][up][up][up]Was Strongheart his name? I could not figure out what they were calling him for the life of me.

Also, I liked how they were using Apple Pie as a ranged weapon. And that it worked.

Strongheart was the peace-advocating female buffalo. I'm sure she fits some archetype, she reminded me of Tikal...I need to branch out more...

Well that was interesting. Would not have expected anyone to show up in that particular outfit, but I suppose it fits the western theme and Pinky's mindset. If anyone were to get dressed up like that, it would be her, wouldn't it?

I kind of got the general impression that their tech level/time period revolves around Rule of Funny or Rule Of Plot.

Oh, I won't deny that it's still awkward to talk about with them. But that's what I have you people for. tongue

Also, the horse-drawn train just confused the hell out of me. What's the point of the locomotive then? What kind of lightweight material must that train be made out of for them to be able to pull it at all, let alone filled with a bunch of other ponies?

Who knows, maybe the train could only produce half the power it needed for that particular trip and needed the extra "horse"power to make it.

I'd say that pony-drawn train just gives more support to the theory that Earth Ponies have increased strength and stamina.

They also have the crappiest jobs...

My mother as well. Whenever I'm in the passenger seat of the van and we are driving somewhere, I always watch it. The fact that I watch it anyways even when my sisters aren't in the background only makes it funnier.

I liked the episode for the most part. Good to see more species represented. Sort of felt sorry for Pinkie, with her song backfiring so spectacularly.

One thing that got me, though: the settlers needed the crops to live, right? So why'd they turn around and use it as ammunition? Even taking the time to bake it into pies... Sure, it was to set up the ending, but I half-expected that they'd end up decimating the crop themselves by wasting most of it on the fight. I mean, I guess I shouldn't expect to see Pyrrhic Victory alluded to in My Little Pony, but why didn't they arm themselves with rocks or something? Heck, they could've been clearing out some of the other land by collecting boulders to break up and materials for the blockades and such...
