CDRW: Yea, it's kind of rare, though. Realistically, the least you're likely to find regular size plushies for is $150. Mini or beanie size can usually be found under $100, though. Anything of higher quality is going to be over $300. And that's with felt or fleece. If it's made of minky, people will shell out a lot more.

And yeah, decent custom pony plushies are usually crazy expensive. It's why I'm waiting for a decent official one. I like ponies, but I'm not spending hundreds of bucks on a stuffed toy.

It's not that 4chan itself bugs me, it's that even though FiM finally has a place to call its own (technically it's more of a quarantine zone, but whatever), rather than leave us be, there's shitposting and trolling from every other board on there.

I've been trying to convince my sister that once she gets her backlog for friends and family done, she should start eBaying her plushies. They're not the greatest quality, but pandering pays the bills, apparently, especially when each of her plushes only costs about $13 and six hours of work.

I have seen a lot of good plushes for sale but the Luna I saw made my jaw drop!

Back when I was a furry (Im recovering... ) I did a lot of plush and costume pieces. Still have a ton of fur and other fuzzy fabrics leftover from those days... I should attempt something. If only I wasnt bogged down with school

Anyway, I do have to agree that enjoyment of these things is high subjective. It's kind of like how I'll pay a few hundred for a pony plushie and someone else might pay a few hundred for a painting, but neither of us would value the others' purchase the same.

CDRW: If it's the one I think it is, yea, it's probably a $200+ plushie.

4chan is the asshole of the internet. And from what I've seen /mlp/ is the direct opposite of the values the show espouses.

You can say that it started on 4chan, but it was started by some very good people. I'm friends with one of them, in fact. But the fandom has grown so large that you've got an amount of assholes that, while par for the course for any large fandom, sticks out like a sore thumb considering what Bronies are known for.

is the one I used to make my 6" Twilight

. The deviation has links to some basic instructions. If you do try that pattern, I recommend blowing it up if you can, though. 6" is stupidly hard to detail.

Im terrible, I tend to not work from patterns when I do plush. I think I might make a frankenpony out of something cheap then cut it up to use as a pattern, at least get a basic body pattern down then customize as needed.

Still.. I dont have the embroidery machine for the cutie marks, those suckers are expensive! Best I could hope for is to stick em on and they probabbly wont look as nice
