I would want to try it, maybe see if I could get some peace and quite to actually write in a small town, but I would probably go back to the Big City eventually. Maybe try Canterlot?

@ Blue Red Mage might work....but if I remember correctly they also have a heavy fire emphasis, which Twilight lacks. I think her atheistic just matches Black Mage more.

The one I was most unsure about was Summoner Fluttreshy, I always envisioned her as a White Mage...I would have swaped her and Rarity.

Physics don't work all that much differently; there's just magic, and that seems to follow its own set of quantifiable rules anyway.

^I don't think Red Mages have a fire emphasis. At least, they didn't in the original.

I think with expansion on the classes, Twi would be either:

Blue Mage; Sage (FF3) secondary or
Sage (FF3); Mediator (FFT) secondary

EDIT: Red: Yea, I've played with most of the iterations of the Red Mage and it's access to all magic up to a certain power level plus the ability to equip medium armour and use swords. No fire motif as far as I know.

I think we need to define what sort of class system we're parodying here. From looking at the class names and outfits I'd assumed it was Final Fantasy, since I don't know of any other system that actually uses the names White Mage and Black Mage. And Red Mages don't have any particular focus (in Final Fantasy), they are simply capable of using black and white magic.

Also, "atheistic?" What?

Anyone else watch Avatar: The Last Airbender? I'd put some thought into the mane six as benders:

Twilight is a Waterbender.
Rainbow is a Firebender
Fluttershy is an Airbender.
Applejack is an Earthbender.

Pinkie and Rarity are non-benders.

It appears that Rule of Funny and Rule Of Cool are actual laws oh physics in Equestria. And if pretty much everything has to be explained away by magic, then you can't say that the laws are even slightly similar.

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".

Blue: Final Fantasy is what I was working with when I made my suggestions. I suggested expansion because the drawings have characters as single classes and the more modern job systems tend to run a primary/secondary combination.

Actually, Ginger, if Luna had more thematic importance to the story, I'd say that Twilight represents both Princesses, or is the connection between them. Neither the sun nor the moon is up at twilight, generally speaking... unfortunately, Luna doesn't get much screentime. Though to be honest, Celestia's been mostly absent this season, too.

Nah, you're not alone. I'd associated her with Fire as well, but in my case mostly because the form her magic's sort of flash takes. Her teleports and larger spells always have that magic bubble, and it always struck m as vaguely firey.

Of course, her cooler colour scheme and general nature also inclines me to think of her as water-heavy as well, though that's a minor thing compared to fire.

Luna has less screentime, but people care more about the time that Luna is given. So I'd say it balances out. (in my eyes at least XD)

If I suddenly ended up in Equestria in my preferred pony form and not some randomly assigned one... I think I would have to use those wings and travel!

Theres a whole big world out there... I wouldn't want to stay in Ponyville Id want to see it all! Sure it'd be cool to meet the Mane 6 but I doubt they would even like me, so Id probably split before I wore out my welcome.

I'd be fine as an Earth pony. I don't like to travel, and I'm pretty simple and laid back. Plus I need the exercise when doing labor.

Like Cranky, I'd allow Pinkie to introduce me to the other townsponies but after a while I need my space. I'm very introverted.

Oh I definitely wouldn't be the speedy Pegasus traveler... Id take my time. I just see the benefit of being able to fly up above the clouds if its raining... or sleeping up on a cloud to stay safe if there aren't any towns nearby.
