They worked for a few hours, iirc. I'd rather use any magic they already have to make an equivalent to our kind of lighting tech, like using Glow/Light enchants on small crystals so they light up nice like LEDs, or make a magical version of the Plasma Arc lamp.

@Ace Would these be able to be turned on and off by non-unicorns, though?
You'd prolly need shutters if you're not a unicorn, or otherwise you'd need a kind of control key that can switch them off.
Among other things, you need to have specific wing and tail designs to specialize in high speed, maneuverability, flying silently, hovering, etc.
Makes me wonder if there are pegasus sub-races. Some have wings built for speed, others can naturally fly tighter turns, etc.

electrical magical lighting. See Twilight's flashlight for instance.

I doubt it would be difficult for them to make a magic button of some kind to function as an on/off switch.
At this stage, they might soon have proper wiring and switches. Anyways Rarity would probably love to light up her boutique with gemstones, and Pinkie may as well have a fancy Disco Ball with gemstone reflectors.
Remember the
SSCS 6 K? That machine had an on-off switch for the quality control function
