Lol, this could be taken as an argument that she can't really teleport, and some of Pinkie's abilities are just cartoon exaggerations of what "really" happened. So for instance...

I can imagine that this is like Ernest, and there's a silent "Vern" character positioned wherever the camera is during the iris-out to hear Pinkie's asides.

I think this was supposed to be one of those weird scene transitions, like in Speed Racer the movie or some CD-i games, where a character pops up in a new scene without the background bothering to change right away.

But even if Pinkie Pie can't teleport, she's still an impressive sprinter. Now I'm getting the idea that the reason Pinkie doesn't participate in the Running of the Leaves anymore is that last time she took off way too fast and crashed and burned before she got halfway through.

I understand that, but I started thinking the other day... Last generation made Scootaloo and Cheerilee sisters, so I thought it a little ironic that the new pegasus Scootaloo is the only Cutie Mark Crusader without a sister. Then I realized, none of the main pegasus characters have had any confirmed family members that I can remember, while the rest have had at least one. Could this mean something, or is it just a coincidence that the writers didn't get around to showing any of those families in the first season?

That's what I would guess. Pinkie would be suspicious, Rainbow Dash would also but would give her the benefit of the doubt, Fluttershy would probably be most willing to forgive. The other ponies didn't experience the jerkishness firsthand, so I don't know what they would do.

I'd imagine that Fluttershy would be very nervous around Gilda, at least until Gilda helps around with the wild life.

Oh man, I can so see a slap stick sense where Gilda is trying to give food to an animal and pulling the fakest of fake smiles, causing the animals to fear her.

I still think that something would have to happen to Rainbow Dash in order to make Gilda and the others become friends. Something that would let Gilda see how awesome the mane cast can be, and let them see how much Gilda cares for RD

oh and write away, it's not like mine's gonna be any good anyway, and even if it was, the fanfic community can't exactly call DIBS on a concept

And then Gilda makes a quick dive, catching the baby eagle right before it hits the ground.

And Fluttershy learns that Gilda's conditioning it to not be afraid of falling.

I can see that happening. Although I still won't like Gilda until they get rid of her Totally Radical speech. That bugged the heck out of me.

That was too many uses of the same phrase in a single paragraph even if that phrase weren't a somewhat forced pun.

As a matter of style, you need to vary your word choice. I mean, you said "the mane cast" three times in two sentences. It just starts to sound redundant. And the fact that it is a pun probably counts as another repetition or two, you've got to be careful about how you use those. Plus, if you can come up with a synonym that's still a pun, it makes the pun better rather than worse.

I think Gilda's 90's slang shows that she hasn't matured out of her childhood. This might explain her rude behavior.

Gilda's 90's slang means either she grew up in the 90's, or that she picked it up from her parents (or whoever raised her as a child). Nothing more.

I ain't that bad at synonyms (Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness is one of my talents in college) It's just i've gotten SO used to calling the protagonists that, I kinda got carried away

Now, there's been talk of Gilda and Trixie reforming, but what about Blueblood, or the Diamond Dogs? Do they not deserve redemption?

Is it bad that I actually felt SORRY for them, and tought that THEY deserved at least some of the jewels?

I doubt the Diamond Dogs will every try to kidnap a pony again.

If they'd asked nicely, Rarity probably would have helped them find some gems too, for some relatively minor work on their part.
