No it wouldn't necessarily be bad, but I just don't have a lot of confidence in the anime industry these days.
Neither do I actually, I used to watch TONS of anime, in the past few years I've pretty much stopped.
@Ginger: Urgh, I was actually really hesitant to post because I figured you'd feel that way. When I like a show or game or book or whatever, I tend to slowly come around and like all the characters, even the ones that bugged me before. Pinkie just took a long time. She's still bottom tier on my favorite ponies list, but I can actually admit I sort of enjoy her antics from time to time now. Honestly this has been a long time coming though.
If I die tomorrow/ I'll be alright/ because I believe/ that after we're gone/ the spirit carries on.
@Kyler: she's the one who created the pre-g1 My Pretty Pony toyline that would eventually become the foundation of our current franchise.
I need a moment alone...

Pinkie was never quiet during that episode a far as I recall.
Also, L Mage, I'm sorry if I stated my opinion a little too boldly or matter of factly. I hope you all realise I am almost never trying to make any sort of objective statement about the worth of something.

Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
@Ginger: (again) It just doesn't bug me at all when characters fail to learn the episode's lesson, because I'm not interested in there being a lesson at all. I watch the show for entertainment, not moral counseling. Just as you find many of the things we like weird and incomprehensible, I don't understand why anyone cares about the aesop bits, whenever someone starts writing a letter that's usually my cue to space out.
Fuck, I depressed Ginger and drove him off. I was in a good mood, too.

No, as much as I like Ginger, he needs to work on overcoming or at least coping with his persecution complex. We can't coddle or treat him with kid gloves all the time.

I wouldn't feel too bad about Bluespade.
Tealove is best pony.

I'm not going to fly into a depression or anything, but it's pretty unsettling that my gushing about something I like caused someone else pain.

@Bluespade: I've always felt that if you are going to put in effort to teach a lesson then you should teach it properly. Either way I don't really feel like her character really developed at all after the episode, and the only reason I found her entertain is because (like you pointed out) she had Cranky to play off of.
I kind of understand, Bluespade, but I don't fully agree. A lot of people feel they can't be entertained by a work that was clearly written with a warped sense of morality.
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back

(Dammit, ginger. Remember the lessons of
Littlepip)
@Blue No! Don't you dare feel bad. This is a very good thing. You should enjoy every aspect of a show if it's possible. If not, then you end up like me... afraid to watch every new episode for fear of noticing something tiny that ruins your entire ability to enjoy it.
It's good. It's damn good.

Well once again I am unable to hang out as something has come up. I've got to head out, see you guys later.
@Mio: I understand, I just don't care about the aesops myself.
