@Red: Nope. I can go into the system set up though, so I might be able to figure something out. I usually manage to fix computer problems by just screwing around and seeing what works. Maybe I can fix this too. The really weird thing is the virus clearly came from a completely innocuous site I've been using regularly for days (a manga reading site).
@Ginger: Everyone goes to sleep when I get on here too. And every morning when I wake up I find the thread has a bunch of pages from when all the Europeans wake up and start posting.

^What, like
MangaFox? =D
Well, if you've got a system restore or a backup you should be able to get it in from the setup stage. Alternately, if worse comes to worst you can just restore to factory default, though that's obviously a last-ditch effort. Had to do that to my laptop at one point, actually.
Can you think inside the chimney?
I don't know if I should be amused or worried, but apparently
Topless Robot has finally found
a joy pic for Fan Fiction Friday.

I tried system restore already, didn't work. And yeah, it was
Manga Reader, though I'm not sure I googled it and might have clicked on something that looked similar by mistake. I never even got a glimpse of the site, the virus acted so fast.

That... may not be healthy, Ginger. I don't know, I guess that's how much time you're supposed to get but it always feels too little for me.
@Bluespade: Try getting an Ubuntu live-USB flash drive, and using some kind of Linux Toolkit to clean and repair your Windows Install. I'm sure there's a forum somewhere that can help.

Totally depends on his age. If he's under 23, I say go for it, sleep is for the weak, use your youthful energy while you've got it, bluh bluh bluh.
Once you get in your mid-twenties though you start needing to actually sleep.

Thanks, I'll look into it tomorrow. Just wasn't planning on doing anything tonight since I'm exhausted.

Ugh, I hate viruses. Mostly it's spyware that gets me. Assholes. Like trolling, I will never understand the people who make viruses.
... I wonder how the mane cast would react to being given a computer

I'm pretty sure at least one of them would break it. It'd either be RD or AJ I think

I think most viruses are made by legitimate businesses, a fact which fills me with loathing for the human race.

Twi would totally get addicted to the Internet and become One of Us
She totally would. I think Fluttershy could really get into it too, if someone could explain it to her. I think she'd be like one of those middle-aged women who only know how to use Facebook and play little browser games, who is completely mystified by the rest of the internet.

I'm one of the only people in the world who doesn't have/want to have/know how to use facebook

@Ginger: I'm with you there, I truly despise Facebook and refuse to use it.

I have facebook because of artists. It's just the easiest way to keep up with what my classmates are doing and stuff. Makes it easy to communicate en-masse. Beyond that I rarely use it for anything.
