Anyway, I'm actually surprised they managed to keep Pinkie from being a gag character in terms of fighting style. I mean, sure she's silly, as she should be, but she comes nowhere near Phoenix Wright (in Marvel vs. Capcom 3) levels of silliness.

@JT I pretty much agree with everything you have to say there. Luckily for me, Pinkie's OOCness ended up tripping my "just roll with it" filter the same way MMDW did, so the episode is actually among my favorites just for the pure comedic gold it offers. I don't know why I'm able to tune out things that are pretty much objectively bad like that, but I can.

Dang it, I stopped watching the stream when they were done showing off Pinkie and Rarity's movesets. I would have loved to see that.

Good job on the review, J Teeth. I didn't think it was too bitter. In fact, I agree with most of your points in the review.

Oh, right, I didn't realize the first minute of the show was kinda pointless when I was watching. And oh yeah, now I remember this song. I can't decide if I hate it or if I think it's okay. What she's saying is obnoxious and makes me grimace a little, though it is in character. On the other hand the tune is good and I can't fault her voice.

Much as I hate the episode, the thing about Matilda being a blatant plot device doesn't really bug me for some reason. Maybe it's because she's overshadowed.

You know, in a way, I can view this as a fantastic episode. It's certainly memorable if only because I hate it so.

Anyway, can't really think of anything you left out. So yay.
