I had that meeting...I've few options, but the best one is transfer my course and become a single honours history student if the School will have me. I've got good marks in history, but the entry requirements may have been jacked up in the years since I joined.

As far as Derring's appearance goes, I support having reversed coat and mane colors. I think it would be neat to have her look sort of similar to Derpy (except with normal eyes and a darker mane obviously).

I'd love to see Teddy pony...in either young or old form. He's smart like Twi, awesome like RD, rough and ready like AJ, classy like Rarity, good humoured like Pinkie and an animal lover like FS. He'd get on with all off them!

I think it'd be kind of cool to see LBJ as a pony. Or Woodrow Wilson.

For the record, I'm guessing that RD is a flight school drop out, not a failure. She probably got offered a cushy job on the Ponyville weather team and decided to just take the opportunity rather than spend more time in school. Sort of like people who forgo finishing college in favor of direct vocational training.

As as far as Cutie Mark discrimination goes, it might be a decent indicator of a pony's skill set, but on it's own I doubt it would be enough to decide between them. There'd probably be interviews or a trial period or something in there.

Maybe it's a part of interview etiquette to have one's flank concealed during the interview process, specifically to prevent cutie-mark profiling situations.

For certain critical positions or jobs, Cutie Mark discrimination might be necessary to avoid problems. (Stuff like maintaining a volatile Magic Boiler or something)
