^She can go mach speed in a steep dive with effort, but we're not talking 'walk to Cloudsdale for a day trip' distances here.
Can you think inside the chimney?
Plus, why would she be hanging around in Ponyville if she lives in Cloudsdale? (I mean BEFORE she became friends with the mane cast)
Yes, she works there... but why would she need to? Someone as skilled as her should have no trouble finding work in Cloudsdale.

Didn't Rainbow fail the flight school or something? That looks pretty bad on your resume. And if ponyville had an opening for a weather pony and possibly a cheap estate for a pegasus nearby and since small towns don't seem to take that much work so I'm sure she saw it as a good opportunity.
What's the worst that could happen anyways?

I don't think it's ever mentioned if she did fail flight school.
Also, we were talking about her STAYING in Cloudsdale and traveling to Ponyville to work. I don't think that makes much sense

I like to think Dashie just moved her cloudhouse down to Ponyville when she came over.
I just thought of something. Does the cutiemark matter to the employer when they're hiring a pony for a specific job?
What's the worst that could happen anyways?
^It's probably illegal to discriminate based on cutie mark, but I wouldn't expect, say, a judicial-scroll-marked pony to be applying for a job as a lollipop maker. It just wouldn't appeal to them in the first place.

I'd assume so. I can imagine one's cutie mark being a major question on equestrian application forms.

There could be those who've fallen on hard times and need the money. I still think knowing ones cutie mark should still be a factor in hiring people. It represents what they're exceptionally skilled at after all

Hmm.. If you have an earth pony with a cutiemark of two clouds and a pair of goggles and a pegasus with a cutiemark of a four green gems which would would be more likely to be hired to pilot an airship if both appear equally good and enthuasiastic?
What's the worst that could happen anyways?
^Good at piloting, you mean? That's a tough one. My inclination would be to say the earth pony, though, because they would have more motivation to be careful and avoid crashing. XD
Can you think inside the chimney?
Yeah, probably would have to hire them both for a test period and see how they perform.
You know, the mane cast needs their own airship. Doesn't have to be a fancy yacht but a small airship they could travel with.
But that'd probably mean a story arc.. But I'd like a season about traveling Equestria and setting up the world.
What's the worst that could happen anyways?
Speaking of Hasbro's idea to make a Pony sideseries, I would like a Traveling Gourmet pony :D
God, you people and your
ARCS
I don't know about you, but I've actually lost interest in a lot of shows after they ceased being episodic.

Thing is, arcs are only good so long as the arc is interesting. If it isn't, then you're stuck with it until it ends.
That, and arcs can
go on too long

Nope. They seem confused and they're quasi-seriously mocking me, but I don't care.
It's worth it just for their faces. Especially when I showed them My Little Lebowski XD
