@emi That's what most people thought.
yeah the tone of the pilot is totally different to what most of the show is overall.

Yeah, Dragonshy was. I was talking more specifically about season 2. Most of the episodes thus far have focused on individual ponies so much that there isn't as much interaction between the mane cast as there was in the first season. Like we haven't had anything that's comparable to say, "Look Before You Sleep", where the conflict is mostly based on a clash between ponies in the mane cast. It's either always an external event or a new character that causes the conflict.
Dragonshy is a favorite of mine aswell. Serious fluttershy is awesome!

I can rank episodes about as well as I can rank ponies, which is hardly at all. They're all really good in some way.
@JT Depending on your headcanon, it's been either a few months or a few years since the pilot. Either way, I think they've become good enough friends to have already dealt with such conflicts.

"At least I'm not a time-traveling, shape-shifting robot operated by tiny cross people, which I've got to admit, I didn't see coming."
Eh, I don't think it's possible to ever work out all possible conflicts. I just want to see them interacting more with each other. Something like Dragonshy would be awesome.
@JT Yeah, we definitely need an ensemble episode.
Did you look at the jam picture?
Tealove is best pony.
