I would love to see a Pony travel show. A fictional travel spot where they go to different cities of their world and visit with other magical species and explore their cultures. Sort of like a diversity promoting show but with ponies!

@Arha: My take on it is that it's an issue with the writers rather than the character; they overplayed Pinkie's wackiness to the point that her other (positive) characteristics are overshadowed. And yeah, I really sympathized with Cranky.

@Badwolf: If they actually did do that, I'd totally vote for a Daring Do show. It would totally wreck our page, but it would be awesome.

They could work a travel segment into a Daring-do show maybe. Just have her visit a city or town near where she is going to be looking for artifacts and get a taste of the culture before she looks for the thingamabob of the week. Or maybe she is rescuing a cultural treasure for wherever she is visiting.

There are issues with the writing, yeah, but I think in terms of my own personal reaction that I was probably on Cranky's side from the beginning whereas I always find Pinky somewhat annoying. Thus I think I had the strongest negative reaction in the thread. Basically, if other people liked it and I more or less hated every moment, it can't just be the fault of the writing. Unless everyone who liked it just has terrible taste, something I am really not willing to declare.

I am definitely a 'Go away, you're annoying me' kind of person.

Yeah, you're not supposed to be on Pinkie's side. It's pretty obvious that she was wrong the entire way through, even if she never really got the hint as to why.

@Red - The fanon wouldnt have to crash and burn. Heck Hasbro could use it as free crowdsourcing for ideas to use in their shows. It already looks like the production team is aware of fanon and uses it from time to time.

@Arha: Like I said, the way Pinkie went about it was wrong, but her intentions were good. In a way, she's easily the most naive and innocent of the girls.

I'm sure Pinkie Pie jumped up a few tiers on everyone's best pony lists. She seems to have found a good balance between obnoxious and just plain awesome. Hopefully we get one more episode dedicated specifically to her by the end of the season!

Yeah, it seems that the dislike for the episode seems to be isolated to here, which is strange, as we tend to like episodes a lot more while the rest of the fandom ends up shouting Ruined Forever.
