Yeah, she's a lovely person at heart, it's just that her methods are a bit suspect sometimes.

I can't just let it go. For better or worse, I feel the need to try to help.

...there's nothing worse than reading a five-hour old argument, and thinking about how I could've helped prevent escalation.

Combined with Party of One, hers is an interesting mentality.

Above all else, she wants to be a friend to people, and make them happy.

But at the same time, she has a desperate need to have friends, to be liked.

She is a social animal to the extreme, I think is perhaps the simplest way to put it.

I really do love this show and am happy that others like it, but I really think people take it too seriously. I wish people would just relax and enjoy it more, try not to be so cerebral, you know?

@Enlong: I'm actually quite similar to you. I HATE drama, misunderstandings and conflict. I want things to be peaceful. My parents fought a lot over...stuff, so I guess that's where it comes from. Any kind of stupid argument or flame war (especially in this fandom) bug the shit out of me. I've had to learn how to say (or not say) my piece and just let people keep arguing if they want to. Sometimes that's all you can do. It takes every ounce of strength some days, because you so desperately want things to be better. Some days, I would refresh a thread for hours hoping things wouldn't get worse.

Same here. I'm always really careful not to say anything to make things worse though, so when an argument is going on I often end up saying nothing at all.

@Flapjack: There won't be an episode next saturday, but I think it goes back to normal schedule the next week.

Yeah, drama can be bad, and there's a fine line between debate and drama. I don't think it actually reached full blow drama levels today though, so no damage done.

Yeah. A lot of opinions and debate, but no drama.

Speaking of dragon quest and all, why dont we see more dragons in canterlot? If a requirement to get in the school was to hatch a dragon egg there should be more. Also has it been confirmed that Spike is a wingless breed or did he just get big unnaturally?

Lauren herself said that Spike was meant to be the first Dragon raised amongs ponies in this iteration of Equestria, and he was "mothered" by Celestia herself. Of course, this makes him and Twi more foster siblings than anything else.

It's pseudo-Word Of God (I say that because a lot of people here don't take anything Faust says seriously anymore) that hatching a dragon egg isn't a normal test, and we pretty much know nothing about dragon biology. Hopefully Dragon Quest will flesh that out a bit.

Celestia mothered him herself? Like she hatched the egg? If so, damn, must have a lot of endurance to take on a dragon .

I wonder if "growth of my excess" was doing a whole thing with three dragon types, flying (pegasus), magic (unicorn), and just... grown up spike kinds (earth, whatever they do). Only that seems kind of stupid.

Nah, Twi hatched his egg during Dashie's first Rainboom years ago, and Celestia adopted and raised Spike.

Faust has a good track record on cartoons. I loved fosters home for imaginary friends

I saw that Persona Pony before. I didn't try out the demo though. Looks promising, it could end up being pretty good.

I'm... not really sure. It seems to be an Adventure Game that is only tangentially related to the whole Persona thing. I have to admit I didn't watch the whole video cause I'm kind of falling asleep right now...

Persona 3 and 4 are some of the best games in the world though...

Uploader comments seem to imply the game is more like P3/P4 than the video makes it look. They talk about having to fight Shadows and having Social Links. I kind of wonder how they'd be able to make a Fi M fangame as complicated as the actual P3/P4 games, but I'll never know with this community.

I'm definitely interested to see other dragons that aren't trying to murder Spike or the main six. It's also interesting that this is apparently a group thing, despite the two adult dragons showing up on the show being alone and rather territorial (not to mention Spike getting like that when under the effects of the greedy growth).

That drawing is adoruable. I love the hooves with depht to them. The colors work great ewith the fur now. It looks suddenly better than before, liek youv'e reached another level or something. Great job.

Hehe, thanks, Blue. I've basically been perfectly my blending technique and I guess learning from all my mistakes in the last handful of colour drawings allowed me to make a lot less mistakes on this one, so that's probably why it seems like such a jump. And I have been working on keeping the fur muted so that it still has a fur appearance, but without being obnoxiously apparent, so I'm glad it's working.

I think sleep is a good idea, there, your typing is slipping.
