Still I don't think pinkie was "wrong". She was very naive perhaps. But she did her best to help cranky. and the epsode made clerar that he needed help.

@Crowlover: Oh yeah, Pinkie's totally an Ethical Slut. That's my headcanon, and yes, I'm serious.

I also don't particularly think Cranky and Pinkie are going to go bowling together anytime soon, as JTeeth put it. She just likes being on good terms with people.

@Fallen I guess this stems from the fact that I don't like Pinkie's insane demeanour (I never have). Her reaction to Cranky wanting to be her friend didn't make me laugh or feel heartwarmed, it made her look insane

I just want her to be quiet and pleasant of her own volition for once, without needing to be reminded by anyone

I agree with Red. Whilst they might not be doing anything social together anytime soon...they'll at least civil with each other. No bad blood as it were.

I liked the Art Shift for the glimpse inside Pinkie's mind.

I'd like them to include more art shifts in the future, but they're pretty much done with the season by now, so who knows.

now I want a Rashomon Plot episode, with each part done in a differnt art style that reflects each ponies world view.

@Ginger ti's ok I totally understant. But don't forget our ponies need flaws to remain being awesome .

That is going to be difficult when the character's primary gimmick is how zany they are.

Yeah the Art Shift was interesting.

Theissan showed the setup they used in his twitter, it was actual stop motion felt.

^I don't see her major flaw as being annoying; I see her major flaw as being too earnest. She just never gives any thought to the notion that someone might not be able to (or just not want to) handle her level of interpersonal energy, so it's her default setting.

Well I finally caught up after watching the episode. I was amazed by the amount of continuity. I know everyone's mentioned Rainbow Dash reading Daring Do and the Cake twins appearing, but I'm surprised noone talked about the old pony from Hearts And Hooves showing up. That makes 3 references all to the last 3 consecutive episodes! Not to mention the other miscellaneous references to older episodes.

Also, I was planning to do another big stats post to celebrate the 100k mark, but since I failed to snag the milestone pagetopper, I might as well wait.

Hey Storyyeller can you lay down some statistics on where we stand relative to other threads for me?

You know you can check that just as easily as I can. The next thread is around 130k IIRC.

Well I guess you can say that her earnestness often makes her annoying.

Either way I still don't feel like she has learned her lesson.

Think of it this way, the core of her character, I like. It's the way that character has been interpreted, (her casing) which I don't like.

@Storyyeller He was brought up. They were talking about his now-canon name.

Frankly, if Pinkie had bothered me as much as she bothered Cranky, I would have made pink cotton candy out of her.
