@ Ginger, also the whole episode isn't her trying to make friends, she accepts that Cranky just doesn't want to be her friend after Twi and RD explain it to her, but she then decides that she will leave him alone, but only AFTER she apologizes to him (at which Twi promptly headdesks) and the second half is her trying to get him to accept her apology, but still annoying him. Then the utterly contrived end (that was not utilizing Pinkie contrivance, just normal not all that great writing, as i said he would have gotten to that ending eventually anyway, Pinkie just sped it up a bit) after which he accepts her apoology, says she can call him a freind, but to go away and give him some peace and quite please.

Also, did anyone else want to utterly pummel Pinkie Pie this episode? I don't think I've been this annoyed with her since Luna Eclipsed.

@Bad Wolfwho: Those are really the only instances that I can really see her being a "prankster". To be honest I don't think anything she has done can be called trolling. I think this fandom has devalued that word to the point of triviality.

She was pretty obnoxious, though I think she has done worse.

I wouldn't say I wanted to hit Pinkie, but she was certainly very annoying and jerkish.

how in any way can you think Cranky was a jerk? He reacted like just about any normal person would to Pinkie.

also no Celestia has never "trolled" yes she has a sense of humor and believes experience is the best teacher, but the ONLY character that is even close to a "troll" is Philamena.

She could use a dope slap here and there.

Also, Cranky is at worst kind of a grouch. I'll admit that he kinda does blow Pinkie off when he first meets her, but everything after that is just his reaction to her bothering him all the time. Honestly, given how fast Pinkie's rambling caused AJ (one of the most stable ponies) to crack, it's a miracle that he didn't explode on her sooner. He was actually being really patient. I mean, the equivalent of her climbing into his wagon and messing around would be if you were moving into a new apartment and one of your new neighbors started opening your boxes and rummaging around. I think in that situation you'd be totally justified to yell at them.
