I think Spike makes a good Butt Monkey because he handles it a lot better than the Mane 6.

As much as I like Spike I think his two episodes so far have been mediocore. Which is a real shame.

@Sky That's why I respect Spike so much. Think about it. He has to live with those Dragon instincts. His entire species is born with a predisposition towards being insanely greedy. It must be such a strain on his mind to resist his very nature all the time. It just makes the fact that he's so kind and supportive all the more heartwarming in my opinion

I think that solution was more a "Love conquers all" thing. Because after all, he didn't really change back until Rarity pointed out that Spike gave her the diamond, right?
