I understand that FE is good and well written, but it is still a fanfiction, which really shouldn't be in contest with real literature. Pick what you want, it's your choice.

@ Badwolf That's true, I should have clarified. This is all just my own opinion, I am just so sick of people calling FE a literary master piece, when it is neither original nor solid. It's a good fanfiction, a really good one I will admit, but there are better out there, and there are FAR better real books.

Regarding the last post: Well, this thread gets a ton of posts every day, so maybe we'll hit some kind of post ceiling limit (I know I've seen that with other forums... dunno what TV Tropes' policy is on that, though).

I just realized something. If Ginger's posts in this thread were considered a thread by itself, it would still be longer than the next 4 longest active Western Animation threads put together. (Young Justice, Adventure Time, Legendof Korra, and Phineas and Ferb)

I don't think there is a cap....plus we are not even close to some Yack Fest threads.

C'mon now, I don't read fanfiction AT ALL and I take issue with that statement. The only difference between fanfiction and original fiction is the amount of derivation. And all original fiction has a good deal of derivation as well, it's just disguised. "There is nothing new under the sun."

Ironically, that actually happened on the Achron forums. One person's post somehow got chronoported all the way back to 2000.

@ L Mage: Excellent. Now in my opinion there are things that GRRM does wrong that khat does right. But overall I agree with you ASOIAF is better than Fallout Equestria.

@Mousa: It is not really the things that she did that made me personally angry. It was that after all the shit she had done, it was not the mass mind-control that she aplogized for. Oh no, she was still hung up about that fucking letter.

That more then anything was what caused me to eject her from the position of best pony in my book.

@Blue I agree. I'm not even gonna attempt to say that FE is on par with ASOIAF (I'm not a literary critic but I know it isn't). but do you know what about it I think IS on par with ASOIAF?

Passion. The amount of passion these authors had for their work.

Ginger: I went "You jerk!" to Twi in the first episode when she clobbered Spike with the door and never even worried about it. That was back when I first started watching. My first impressions of her were basically "Wow, that purple pony is kind of a bitch." Funny how things work out, huh?

I write both Fanfiction and real fiction so I see where you are coming from and even agree to a degree....But there is a real diffrence between throwing to established worlds at each to exploring what happens and making your own world from whole cloth and fleshing it out with nothing but your own imagination and mind to do so.

Then my work is done. Well not really.

To be fair a lot of Westeros is just the War of the Roses.

@ L Mage: I really think you're underestimating the amount of work it takes to seamlessly merge two storyworlds. In my opinion, it's much harder than creating a new one out of thin air.

I guess I'll have to learn more about HTML then. I guess the best way to start is to take an existing forums page, and replace all the posts with Ginger's posts.
