Meanwhile in series 2. Luna Eclipsed, terrible person even though she was less mean than Pinkie. Mysterious Mare Do Well, terrible person. May the best pet win, generally agreed to be a terrible person. Read it and Weep petty theft. The Last Roundup, leaves two ponies in the desert (even though this was a group decision Rainbow gets all the blame.)

Actually it has less to do with the fact that she cheated and more to do with her Win At All Cost (WAAC, yes, actual acronym, just ask Applelight) mentality. To me, that sort of mentality screams "petulant little child", so my reaction to her that whole episode was "Bitch! Grow the fuck up!"

Also like I said Laser-Guided Karma this season. They really seem to want Rainbow Dash to be less popular. Personally though if you really look deep into her episodes I think she got some good character development (though I don't think it was intentional), hell if MMDW was better written I it would've been a good character development episode (though the Mane Five would have still irked me).

People have some powerful knee-jerk reactions when animals are involved.

As far as Rarity goes, I have to admit that I was pretty much neutral to her until Sisterhooves Social rolled around. That knocked her up a couple of notches.

And I still don't get why everyone has so many issues about "May the Best Pet Win". Yeah, she was a jerk, but keep in mind that she does stuff like flying through the Gorge for fun, on a regular basis. I don't think she's out of line for wanting her pets to be able to keep up with her while she does stuff like that.

And yes, Rarity is awesome (like the rest of the cast) and is the rogue, or if you're using the Players Handbook 2, the beguiler (character class that fits her even better) of the group.

EDIT: I enjoyed may the best pet win, but I don't like the idea of bringing your pet to a dangerous area. Maybe it's because I'm a cat person. Pets should be at home where they're safe.

Yeah, Rainbow seemed more concerned with a pet that she could consider "cool", rather than one that she'd enjoy having and be able to take care of.

I personally like Rarity bullshitting her way through everything and getting away with it.

Yeah, that's what made me love Sweet And Elite so much. For a show that uses strictly formula plots so often, it was nice to have a complete subversion of Fawlty Towers Plot.

@ Bad. Well I know that, but I agreed with what Twilight and Applejack were thinking. She was just giving thought to how cool the pet looked, not how to take care of them.

Yeah a lot of the problems I have with the stories in this show come from me being out of their target demographic. You can be as much a brony as you like- it's STILL A CHILDRENS' SHOW, and cliches and plot holes will occur.

Are there actually people who don't like Pinkie? I though Dash was the only pony that was a Base Breaker. Which is understandable I guess as she can be a bit of a Jerkass. I still like her though.

Some people just aren't into her style of humour, and find her annoying. Theres's one poster here, Gingerninja666, who has a particularly, interesting, opinion of Pinkie.

I like Pinkie because she reminds me of old fashioned Looney Tunes type cartoon characters. She's also Crazy Awesome. One of my favourite tropes.
