How long are the chapters?
Yeah, but people look down on me for not reading long things.
Also, Yeah, I loved your review JT, my only change is that I thought Cheerilee's mushy nicknames were worse than Big Mac's

it varies from chapter to chapter.

Ginger: So it's a combination of the Internet and lengthy reading off a screen that gets to you? Well, I already told you to download and disconnect for the Internet problem, so as far as the screen goes... does it bother your eyes or something? If that's the case, you could try adjusting your refresh rate (I know a low refresh rate can bother my eyes if I work with it for too long... they're just that sensitive) or there's also a way to invert monitor colours. I know reading black on white tends to bother some people.

@Ginger: No one here does. It's a commitment, certainly, and not everyone has time. I know I sure as hell don't; the only way I made it through It Takes A Village and Dangerous Business was by stumbling on them while they were still updating (from the beginning, in the case of ITAV).
Anyway, didn't you say you didn't even want to read FO:E?

@kuroi It just feels wrong. It feels artificial. There's just a difference between having a proper book in my hands and having lifeless walls text on a screen.
I also don't like scrolling down to read.

first issue with JT's review......you have to be 25 or under to think the jelly pony was funny, dang it guess I can't laugh at that anymore.
@ginger, I'll agree with you on the scrolling part, it is the most annoying think about reading on the comp.

@kuroi about the bus thing. I need to put myself in a position where I hae NO CHOICE but to read. At home, I'm either gonna go on my laptop or watch tv.

Oh hai guys.
I understand you, Ginger. Reading a book will always be more fun for me than reading off a screen.
Besides Ginger has A Song of Ice and Fire to read stop distracting him.

next comment on JT, really like your idea on why H&H day was created based on something as bad as it was.

Ginger: Huh. Okay, well, I don't think you'll look like an idiot reading a stack of papers on a bus. Or a stack of papers holed punched and stuffed in a binder. To the outsider that's going to be pretty non-descript. And taking our focus off of FO:E, there's plenty of shorter things you could print and do this for. I sure hope you'll at least do this for Unity whenever I manage to finish it.

@Red From my understanding it's really far removed from MLP. (it BETTER be otherwise there's no way I could read it), my favourite types of stories involve either Bittersweet Endings or Earn Your Happy endings, and I've been promised good villains. (you guys better not be lying to me about that.)

If you have to force yourself to do something, Ginger, it's obvious that you simply don't like to do it. Nobody is "looking down on you" for not liking things, it's just that we're curious as to why and you keep giving arbitrary reasons that aren't the real reason, so when you do get to the real reason, it's hard to take you seriously. If people here here looked down on others for not liking popular things, I would have been run out of the thread for not liking humanizations and not hating MMDW a long time ago.

I have over 200 hundred dollars worth of printing credits, where each pages is about 15 cents. I could probably print the beast out and mail it to you.
Though personally I'd rather send you The Colour You Bleed. Never actually read Fallout Equestria, but I know The Colour You Bleed fits your story requirements. And not because I'm totally shilling, oh no.

@Perpetual Lurker but I LIKE reading. I've also got a ridiculously short attention span.
No thanks. If anything I'll do what Seraph said.
And how do you KNOW that?!

I'm wondering about Daring Do and the Legacy of Nightmare Moon. The trope page specifically mentions that Temple, not Legacy is Darker and Edgier, but it also mentions that Shrine of the Silver Monkey was when the series was made Lighter and Softer again.
So which one is Legacy? Judging by the conclusion I'd say Darker and Edgier.
#95300SeraphemTue, 14th Feb '12 8:51:49 AMfrom Delamare
It's defantly an Earn Your Happy Ending with a touch of Bittersweetness to it, and it takes a while for it all to become clear, but red eyes master plan is quite impressive, and the ONLY reason it didn't work was he didn't know about the existence of the Gardens of Equestria.
