I know what the elements of Chaos are! :D

Violence, Change, Disease, and Pleasure

And for some reason I can't pothole...Hm...

Hmm, good point, Lurker. Surprise and Laughter turn out to be similar enough that even though Pinkie has Laughter, she can also invoke Surprise. Later, a familiar-looking Wonderbolt is revealed to bear that Element. I mean, it's totally her name!

@Ginger: Tails failed his reaction, if he had grinned instead and asked "Are you reeeeeeeeally sure?" with a trollface expression, Eggman might have been taken by the ploy. PROTIP: Trolls are the best for deceiving villains, because they love doing it for the lulz. [lol]

@Seraph, I'm not a reader of webcomics. They never take themselves seriously enough for my tastes.

Even Homestuck is pushing it

Life, Change, Passion, Creativity, Surprise, and Cunning

Maybe change up one of them to be Lust. Applelight totally bears that one [lol][lol]

...Hmm... How about:
  1. Freedom
  2. Pleasure
  3. Change
  4. Imagination
  5. Trickery
  6. Independence

Then you haven't read the right ones. Stick can get very very serious, while still being hilarious. And like I said it's full of your types of villains. Though yeah the early strips were just gag a day jokes, by the second book it started going through Cerebus Syndrome and has been getting even better since.

Also, I like things that actually fucking END!!

Webcomics NEVER... STOP.

Same reason I don't read normal comics

@dp: Freedom and Independance have a lot of overlap. Mayhap take names from both our choices, like say: Passion, Creativity, Cunning, Freedom, Pleasure, and Life? Life would mirror Magic/Friendship, because without the positive elements of Chaos, Life gets booooooring.

Depends on which you read. I've read plenty have have stopped at their logical conclusion

0r0chi: Twisted, but well-intentioned.

Also, I really like this guys stuff. Which makes me a little sad that I can't seem to go two steps without hearing about how terrible he is.

Order does have an end point mapped out, we're just still a book or two away from it.

and some of them do end, like 8-Bit Theater

Fine then! There's just something about the style of webcomics that doesn't appeal to me.

Another 500 posts down, another 900 posts appear. Sigh.

Then you should read faster.

As far as Order of the Stick goes, it definitely has smart and effective villians. And Nale.

You can be kind while still being selfish, at least to some extent. Freedom and Independance are so intertwined they can't really be separated easily.

@Cysma: You should step up to about at least 1000-1500 posts per day if you ever want to catch up. Be very glad this thread isn't moving at the speed of /b/ (hiveminds every few posts!).

[up][up][up][up] The style of webcomics? That assumes there is a style of webcomics. They're too diverse for that.

Look, I find it INCREDIBLY hard to read over the internet. OK!!

I always have. It's why I wait for manga to come out in print form rather than reading it online, it's why I don't read fanfics.

I just can't stay focused or interested

@Ginger: It's like I'm looking through a polarity inversion - I love the Internet as a boundless portal to more reading. Mind you, books are still superior in many ways, but the Internet means I always have something to read, whether it's tech reviews or nerdraging on Ars Technica or tropes to wade through and edit or threads to post in like this one or even bad fanfics to laugh at.

@Ginger: You'd like Order of the Stick, I think - Xykon is a badass, and he's a clever, dangerous and entirely amoral jerkwad. If you're a Dungeons and Dragons fan, you definitely would.

Best part is, the books are available to buy online, too.

The internet is FAR too distracting for me to focus on any kind of substantial reading.

Yeah thanks for making me feel better, Ace!

I'm like the ONLY person (here) who has this fucking problem sad

There have been 31, 513 posts since Jan 3rd, 11:05AM (6 weeks ago), so you need to read 750 posts a day just to stay in place. If you ever want to catch up, you should be reading at least 1000.
