I liked Art Of The Dress The First because it was really nice to see Rarity in her element. She's just so happy doing work in her shop.
I also liked Art Of The Dress The Second, because it give me cause to use the term "Stressed Reprise".
"Becoming Popular" is also a good song, but I think most of my love for it comes from the very end, where it turns very, very, sad in the span of two notes.

@Tyler: A lot of complaints, or a lot of craziness? Because to be honest, the answer of both those questions can be 'yes' at times.
Can you think inside the chimney?

@Tyler: We're usually more positive than negative here. There are occasionally epic arguments, but we try to be civil.
The herd loves you. The herd accepts you. The herd is all. Remember the eyes of the Sun Mare are upon you. Always.
You're sounding pretty creepy there bro.

@Enlong Becoming Popular depresses me for that EXACT reason.
I mean I love the song, but... DAMN MAN, dat ending!

We do not understand. There is no "creepiness" within the Herd. There is only love and friendship. Everyone loves the Herd.

That's the goal
Yes, only love and friendship.

@ Will: That's a lie. This herd can get super creepy given motivation.

@Red Savant
I was referring to complaints, but okay.
@Bluespade.

...yeah, as you may have figured from my title, I'm rather cynical. A friend of mine from the KYM thread described me as "tactfully rage-y".
Sorry for slow replies, have to use my PS3 browser at the moment. At least TV Tropes runs well on it, unlike pretty much every other website ever.
Signatures are for pansies.

Meh. Don't worry about it.
And yes this thread tends to explode in activity and argument come Saturday.

Hm. I suppose my favorite songs are Becoming Popular and Art of the Dress.

wow. sounds wackier then my Junior year English teacher that thought there was about 3 separate layers of deeper meaning and socio-philosophical commentray to every sentence anyone ever wrote in any story, and about 80% of them had something to do with sex. That was a fun class...for everyone else, they got to spend half the class sitting back and listening to me and her argue about what was more important; the "deeper meaning" behind a story and what it was meant to say about society etc... or what actually happened in the story itself, you know the PLOT, and whether or not it was enjoyable to read. Given that every year I was there I was pretty much unanimously voted class bookworm, the other students kinda figured I know WTF I was talking about.
also Thread Hop
Also also WOOT talked my way into getting a day off tomorrow
also also also, I had some ideas for your Xanatos Gambit idea in unity last night, guess you thread hopped over the post Ginger.

It was the whole situation. She finally gets back home, and begins assembling the dress, the music swells triumphantly, and you think "She's going to pull it off!"... And then she just collapses from exhaustion after barely managing anything, and the music trails off...
