@Arha: Mainly because stuff like background ponies and such is more in line with the show itself, and that on these forums discussing kinky stuff is generally frowned upon anyway. I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that most people aren't sexually attracted to the ponies and would be a lot more put off by that than someone who isn't interested in the background ponies. That's just me though.

Lisps have just never bugged me. I don't know, I personally find them endearing.

Pretty much this entire show is designed to be cute anyway.

It's a YMMV thing I guess. I don't mind it in small doses, but if Twist had as much screen time as say, the CMC, I'd probably find her voice annoying.

Yeah, I can't immage how new posters would be putoff by people discussing thigns related to the show, like background characters or Dering Do. That happens in any fandom, if not necessarily to the same extent. Discussing sexualization of ponies is likely to put people off however.

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".

I've seen intense Twist hatred. I mean, I've seen art depicting absolutely HORRIFIC things happening to her, and comments from people cheering about it. Hatred of a character over their voice is just disgusting.
