@JT I don't know, they did end up going on a date together at the end, and walked off into the sunset together (which is a pretty symbolic image). On the other hand, they were clearly just messing with the CMC when they called each other those lovey-dovey names one last time, and the and the wink could mean any number of things. It's all up in the air in my mind, and I'm almost tempted to say that nobody wins. The "ship tease with others" group definitely did lose, though.

I originally had an idea for it to be mostly about her parents instead of her as a prequel to the series but I wasn't sure how to incorporate it so I went with the idea I gave on the page.
