Hmm could still keep the title but make it about the Sisters battle with Discord instead of Celestia vs NMM

and yes it is.

@Seraph But I agree with Chariot. Spending this long on an arc is a bit much for stories like these.the forshadowing can exist ACROSS the other books for all I care, but don't use up one of the slots for something that's purely forshadowing

"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
not purely, didn't even see the possibility of it till just now, was really just looking for a way to get a story that dealt with the Royal Sisters...and had Alicorn in the title. But more I think about it, more it all makes sense
If Chariot want's a slot I'll give up Ruby horseshoes, it was mine but I just really don't like that title. really lame Wizard of Oz refrence.

@seraph but this has nothing to do with the sisters. This is a series about Daring Do.
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
Also, JT You say the Writer didn't want to bulk on continuity, but the two Derring-Do stories follow on from each other
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
yes not directly, not saying they actually show up in the book, but if your an Equestrian Archeologist, at some point you'd end up trying to find something about the local Goddesses past.

it was an experiment to make a direct sequel, and slightly change the tone, which backfired due to poor reception.

@JT I get that... but Trials of Unity only really makes sense if you read it AFTER The Platinum Crown. If you know what I'm saying?
Since in the latter Derring is an antagonist, and in the former, Derring mellows out

Hey, I was in the winning circle in the Hearts and Hooves Day betting pool, right?
it was mine but I just really don't like that title. really lame Wizard of Oz refrence.
Silver horseshoes would be better, but I guess it would sound stupid when we already have Shrine of the Silver Monkey.
It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
Well, I'm feeling irritated. Girlfriend decided to watch the leak even though we'd agreed not to.
All for a fucking Derpy sighting.

If you wish to know, you only need to ask.
Shoot Nomuru, that sucks.
Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
Talking about the betting pool counts as spoilers, doesn't it?
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
@ Stoyteller To the book yeah, but most people know the movie better.
@ Ginger Who says Derring can't show up in other books other then to two she has a major part in. maybe have a few do a media-ras opening with the two of them in the middle of competing with each other for a prize, or doing something like that as a kinda
Cold Open with the main plot starting after they get back.

@Seraph Well, it's possible, but Derring Do is kinda meant to be the Aloof, never around when ya need em, off doing her own thing, won't see em for years on end type. So her appearing often kinda ruins that image.

Is there going to be another livechat for the new episode come Saturday? Will it be Vent or Skype?
@ ginger, any number of ways you could have that, while stil working in enough tension between the two that Unity really hits home and is meaningful.

What were the camps in the betting pool anyway? And was anything actually bet or is it in name only?
