... I'm sorry, but I just saw something in that episode that actually makes me rather sad.

Right at the beginning of the song, when Sweetie Belle jumps on the pony that is "too old", the pony is wearing a priest's collar and is standing behind a podium with lit candles on either side of him, and there is a casket on the right. That pony was giving a eulogy at a funeral. Right in the middle of a very happy and cheerful song. Just... wow. Unlike the cancer pony there isn't any wiggle room for interpretation here. That's just... dark and really out of place, considering the song. On the other hand, major props to the animators for even including something like that. It's just really depressing, is all. The moment is at 3:35 in the vid for those who want to see without spoiling the whole thing for yourselves.

I'm really not sure how exactly to feel about that...

I thought I would feel guilty about it, but the episode is so very awesome that I got over it.

Also, we now have the ultimate example of how strong Big Mac Intosh is. Pulling a house while skipping, and barely showing any extertion.

I've heard some people complain that the ep made Big Macintosh sound like an idiot, but I think that more comes under him being under the lovey-dovey poisony-woisony

And of course, the rage of the Flutter Mac shippers was ultimately for nought. will anyone learn a lesson about realising that any hint of shipping isn't going to remain canon? Probably not.
