And yeah, we're theorizing a pony game (sand box I think)

I suggested that the player starts off as a blank flank kid, and learns both their race skills and goes quests in the hope of getting a CM, then you flash forward to adulthood.

I can't think of the name Octavian without the Julio-Claudian emperor springing to mind. Which in turn calls to mind Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. And then I'm imagining a Equestrian incarnation of the Roman Empire.

Yeah that's right. There are like a dozen potential C Ms to chose yours from, but you have to do the quest line to 'discover' it. And when you complete the quest line...you can either take the CM, or leave it, but if you change your mind you can select it later...call it a delayed ephinay.

This encourages you to shop around.

Quests are like:

Fighting: Starts with you defending a kid from the friends of the bully, and ends with you taking the bully on.

Stuff like that.

I don't see why you couldn't. Maybe that'd be a prerequisite for a prestige class and only if you've gotten certain ranks at certain values.

Personally, I'm not sure how necessary fighting would be as it typically goes against the tone of the series. I suppose it could work if it were presented in a more slapstick manner or a lighter/softer manner than in other games.

It's deathpigeon, and it was his/her punishment for breaking into Princess Celestia/Prince Solaris's private study and breaking their inter-dimensional viewing mirror, which they fixed, that allowed for the Prince and the Princess to speak with each other... He/she nearly found out what it was for too!

Bad: But he didn't know that, so presumably he'd be a jerk to any mare he met. And he doesn't deserve to die or have any traumatic stuff going on. Like most jerks, I just think somepony needs to punch him in the face. Have him mouth off to the wrong pony, then "BAM!" (and hopefully lesson learned).
