Huh, overall, this was much better than my super negativity made me think it would be. Not great, but still good. Somewhere around the middle for me. Probably because the story parts were much less “RD self-insert” than the preview made them look. I'm far too lazy right now to make this giant post coherent, most of it's just going to be a bunch of comments. Rainbow apparently has never been in this position before, as her methods of entertaining herself were pretty bad. The lamp thing was great.
Only Rarity would take note of the gowns matching the curtains. Pinkie is now a grapefruithead. Rainbow, that is not how you eat. Ninja Dash was pretty amazing. “I’m not trying to steal your slippers; I’m trying to steal this book!” Yes, because that is so much better. Pinkie WOULD want to join the chase. I’m just going to stick this here: that filly nurse was really adorable.
And a final note before I talk about the story itself; if Rainbow didn’t want to be found out, why would she be reading it
out loud?
To start, Twilight totally knew Rainbow would end up loving it. The story’s exposition was way too close to Rainbows situation. Coincidences like that don’t even happen.

I’ve actually…never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies, so I can’t exactly compare easily. These comments are just pretty much going to be random observations. How did they get ALLIGATORS on the CEILING? That seems inefficient and over the top. Why would the ancient ponies who built the temple even leave the rat markers there as such a semi-obvious clue if they didn’t want people to get by?
I’ve never understood the traps in these parodies; why would you WANT to fill the room with lava, thus potentially killing the thief/adventurer and destroying the artifact? How much lava would you even need? That death trap needed more death and more traps. I don’t think that’s how hats work, Ms. Do.
And is it bad that I really want to play that Battleship: Cloud Edition?

The bad guy's name was Alhuizotl , an actual monster from Aztec mythology.
This makes my inner mythology nerd very, very happy.
Animated hood waving.
This looks… really weird.
Going to be editing this a ton to fix stuff. Bluh. Ohgod how did this post get so big.
