Back shall I go, to a time before Pinkie broke the forth wall and Dash was 20% less awesome, back to a time when six separate ponies united together and with the strength of Honesty, the song of Laughter, the passion of Loyalty, the beauty of Generosity, the might of Kindness, and the sheer amazing power of Magic stood boldly against a threat to all of Pony kind and first won our hearts a souls.

To the beginning I return, and I shall not stop, shall not waver, until I have traversed all the pages of this thread and come back again to you all a wiser and more enlightened man.

Well, no, she lied to Cherry Jubilee about why she wanted to work for her, and then one of her first lines to her friends is that she thought cherries would make a good change from apples. She also claimed that was all there was to it. I consider that lying.

Basically, I'm disgusted by grimdark stuff when it tries to keep some semblence of a connection with the source material. Cupcakes and Rainbow Factory at least TRY to keep the whole thing in character

Stuff like SHED MOV feels NOTHING like MLP in ANY possible way.

@Arha: Just because she embodies the element of honesty doesn't mean that she's honest 100% of the time, it just means that she sucks at lying. It wouldn't be the first time a pony went against their element. If anything, it shows how dire she thinks her situation is.

Plus, if she was so ashamed then maybe she thought that cherries really would have been a good change of pace. It's not as if the thought to try something else would have never crossed her mind.

I pride myself on my honesty, but much of my life has led me to be... disingenuine, among people I care about. I have learned very well how to escape the truth without ever telling a lie. I know the tricks. She never actually had to lie. Simply misdirect.

It was the line about "I wanted to try something new so I figured I'd try cherries" or whatever. She's obviously just B Sing her friends. The keyword being obviously. She's fully capable of lying, but she doesn't like doing it and when she does she's not very good at it.
