I''m just getting Cranky as being really introverted. I myself find people like Pinkie absolutely exhausting, so I would be able to sympathize with him if she just p[lain old irritates him. Honeslty knowing Pinkie he doesn't even have to be abrasive - she'd be offended if he just wanted to get away from her.

But I agree with you Ginger. There's no possible way partying can be the solution here, Pinkie has to learn - although should point out that none of her focus episodes have featured partying as the solution to her problems, you know. She is learning, and you can't just ignore all the progress that we know she's made.

@UD: that could actually be funny - especially if the other mane six members might be trying to tell Pinkie that he's not that bad but she doesn't listen.

Ah but here's the thing, kegi. From my perspective, Pinkie's progress has felt incredibly TOKEN. Pinkie in her own eps is COMPLETELY different to how she iss in every other ep. I don't care what you say, I cannot just think of them as two different characters. Her eps leave no impact on me, because I don't see the same character from in those eps as I do in others

She still has the same character, Ginger, we just see her in more depth. She's still just as excitable and bubbly, it's just that in the other episodes she's too in the background for the depth of her character to really come through in any meaningful way. So yeah, it does make it hard to really keep in mind how much she has grown, but the fact remains that it still seems like your only seeing what you want to.

Chariot, is it my imagination or are you trying to be pointlessly inflammatory of Ginger? IT just seems like each of your opinions is custom-made to piss him off. You're like, Nega-Ginger, defending Pinkie to the degree he despises her; beyond any and all possible reason.

Got to agree here...in her episodes, Pinkie is as mad as ever...it's just that we get to see what she's like in the in between moments.

Ditto. I've never seen Pinkie all that differently; it's just looking closer at her character. There's nothing in her focus episodes that's inconsistent with her other portrayals. Every character's focus episodes are going to include aspects of the character that doesn't appear in episodes where they aren't in the spotlight.

Also, yeah, I've considered your suggestion, but I'd hate to look like a Shameless Self Promoter by plugging myself there. But I certainly won't stop you from adding them if you think it's worth having there. Hint hint. Although it probably fits better on the Analysis or on the review pages. Maybe I'll take the summary sections of the reviews and put them on the review tab for each episode, with a link to the full review.

@kegi No. In every episode, even when they aren't the focus, each character still feels like the same character. To me, Pinkie doesn't. You should not have to constantly be focusing on a character to see their developement or good qualities. It should be reflected in how they act all the times, EVEN if they're in the background.

Maybe I'll take the summary sections of the reviews and put them on the review tab for each episode, with a link to the full review.

You should definately do that imho.

Or...I can add each summary in for you if you want?

And that, Ginger, is because Pinkie isn't given focus in any episodes beyond hers. The writers don't give her fair treatment - any other character in an ensemble episode still has purpose and point, but Pinkie serves only as a joke. So her development doesn't shine through, because she isn't given any chance for it to shine through in ensemble episodes.

@Chariot: Well, differences of opinion there, but I honestly disagree with how much you feel she deserves to be defended. I mean, not to start the argument again since it's clearly not going to go anywhere, but thinking that nothing Pinkie's done warrants her being called out on? That just seems like a bit too generous for me.
